| Production method | It is obtained by the reaction of m-bromophenol and dimethyl sulfate. Dissolve m-bromophenol in sodium hydroxide solution, slowly add dimethyl sulfate dropwise under stirring, heat for 1h, and cool the layered colorless oil. The water layer is extracted with ether, dried, and distilled to recover ether, and the residue and oil are distilled under reduced pressure to obtain the finished product. The yield is 90%. |
